TRUST
–
verb: to believe in the reliability, truth, or strength of another.
Up until now, Logan Mitchell has never had much of a reason to trust anyone.
Having struggled with a self-identity crisis throughout college, he’s spent the years since then creating a sophisticated facade to present to the world.
It’s an armor he thought was impenetrable—until he met Tate Morrison.
The gorgeous, headstrong bartender he’d sat across from only months ago has taken a tight hold of his heart, and Logan is discovering that it’s time to let
go.
It’s time to let someone inside.
After years of placing his dreams on hold for his family, Tate has finally chosen to do what makes him happy and follow his heart.
The one thing he never would’ve imagined was that it would lead him into the arms of a man—and not just any man—the striking, never-takes-no-for-an-answer
Logan Mitchell.
Tate has fallen hard, and as his world is turned on its axis and they move forward together, he finds his life becoming more entwined with the confident,
successful lawyer.
Even though neither man expected the other, it’s time to trust in their relationship—but not everything comes so easily…
Shel: The second I could start reading this book, I did. So what if it happened to be late on a work night? Who cares if I had to sneakily read it between things at work? Who cares if I glued myself to my Kindle from the time I got home from work until I finished Trust..right?!! I couldn't help it. I wanted...no, NEEDED to see how their story was going to end and Ella Frank did not disappoint. Court: I care, because I want the readers to care...because I felt the same way. From the very beginning I was glued to it, because well...these two are great characters...and we get both of their point of view. So we know what they're both thinking and feeling, and in this series that has been a great pleasure.
Shel: I love this series. Try hooked me--I needed to know how Tate would handle Logan pursuing him. Take was intense with the family drama and Logan's back story. Trust was a perfect blend of family and twists and love. Court: Couldn't have said it better myself. This journey has been so complete, and needed all three of the books we are now given. So, you're probably thinking...why would I read this, when it is the third book. Well, we DO recommend you starting from the very beginning, but each part gives us the stellar writing of Ella Frank and that cannot be denied or looked over. You need to read her work. Not comfortable with M/M...well, I think this girl can change your mind.
Shel: Love. Court: <3
Shel: If that's one thing I walk away with it's how much love there is in this story. Both men trusted each other, despite all of the *stuff* that made trusting hard, and believed in each other and in the relationship they were building. I loved that they always had each other's back--there was no contrived angsty stuff here. They trusted each other and with that trust absolutely no one or nothing could separate them. I also loved the support and care that their friends and (some of) their family gave them. Court: I smile. Because when you think about all that we have read in the past Shel, the two of them and their ability to communicate and fight for each other is refreshing and honestly, can be learned from. Fictional story you say...well, have you ever been in a committed relationship? Same thing. I always love to find something in the story to take away and their love and trust are seriously inspiring and wonderful. I am way too gushy this morning. #sorrynotsorry
Shel: I should also mention that the sex scenes between Logan and Tate were hot as hell ..but really does that surprise anyone? Ella Frank knows things. Lots of things. Especially sexy things and this novel is definitely sexy. I guess, though, for me, you could take all of the sexy things out and I'd still just love this story (complete blasphemy, I know). I thought it was honest and sweet and romantic. Court: It IS blasphemy! Hahaha, that is one of the biggest things I was looking forward too, and it did NOT disappoint. Ella Frank...again, I shall gush about how much we love her, and the erotica genre and writing in general would be a less sexy and lonely place without her. But again, that isn't her only strength. That is her awesome ability to write words that make us feel something, and the sex doesn't ever hurt our feelings.
Shel: What a fantastic end to this trilogy; I'm sad to see Logan and Tate go but eager to begin the journey Ella Frank takes me on next. Court: I have to say I have loved every one of her books in one special way or another, but next to Edible and Cole...these two boys are my favorites. They can tie. Those brothers are always competing anyways!
Excerpt
“What’s wrong with my hair? Are you saying I need to cut it?”
“No, I’m fucking not,” Logan said as he fingered the curls by Tate’s ear. “And you know it.”
“What would you do if I did shave my head?”
“Kill you? And likely get away with it since I have connections to a very reputable law firm.”
Tate chuckled and shoved Logan until he was on his back beside him. “Be serious.”
Logan turned his head on the pillow and ran his eyes over Tate’s full head of hair. Then he returned his gaze to the eyes watching him. “I would quite possibly cry. For days.”
“Over my hair? It does grow back, you know.”
“Yeah, but not for months,” he grumbled. “Can you please stop talking so calmly about this? You’re making me nervous.”
Tate shifted until his long, lean body was stretched out above him, and Logan widened his legs to allow him to settle in between.
“Don’t worry,” Tate assured him as he lowered his head to kiss the corner of his mouth. He then moved those teasing lips to Logan’s ear and whispered, “I like your hands in it too much to cut it off.”
Logan threaded his fingers through the thick waves and asked, “Like this?”
With a groan, Tate rocked his hips against him, and Logan twisted his fingers tighter.
“Exactly like that.”
“Good,” he said as he wound his legs around Tate’s. “Because this way, I can have a tight hold on you when you’re trying to distract me. I’m onto you, Mr. Morrison. Don’t try to use your body against me.”
He almost lost his willpower when Tate, the cocky fucker, placed his hands on either side of his head and rubbed their erections together.
“You don’t want me to use my body on you?”
“Fuck you,” Logan said, knowing full well that, if he didn’t change the subject or get Tate the hell off him, he was going to roll him over and cease talking altogether.
Usually he’d love nothing more, but right now, he wanted to know why Tate had reacted so strongly to his question from last night—well, early morning .
“We need to talk.”
