I. Remember. Everything.
Only now I wish I didn’t.
When the fog is sucked away from my mind like smoke through a vacuum, the truth that has been beyond my reach for months finally reveals itself.
But the relief I thought I would feel never comes, and I’m more afraid now than I was the morning I woke up handcuffed in King’s bed.
Because with the truth comes dark secrets I was never meant to know.
I will put the lives of those I love most at risk if I let on that my memory has returned, or if I seek help from the heavily tattooed felon who owns me body and soul.
I don’t know if I’m strong enough to resist the magnetic pull toward King that grows stronger every day.
He’s already saved me in more ways than one. Now it’s my turn to do whatever it takes to save him.
Even if that means marrying someone else…
We're going to try to keep this short so that you can click on the buy link and get to reading! Here's what you need to know about Tyrant:
1. You absolutely 100% have to read King first.
2. Grab your seat belt and buckle up because you're in for a wild ride.
3. You will get all the answers you were looking for AND THEN SOME.
4. Things aren't always as they seem.
5. T.M. Frazier likes to torture her characters and her readers (no one is spared, just be prepared). Seriously. She's going to make us work for that HEA and Tyrant was no different....so have some patience.
6. If you're squeamish--maybe this isn't the book for you.
7. If you like sex in your romance, this might be the book for you.
8. If you're like us, you will read this super duper fast.
9. BEAR GETS A STORY and I can't help but think it's going to be heartbreaking and angry and hurt and redemptive.
10. Preppy ....hahahaha.
I think this is the most accurate top 10 post ever. These are definitely the things you should know. And, I think, you will like this book...or the entire series if you are a newbie. It isn't for the faint of heart though...and like she said in each number, I think you can infer that you will feel SO MANY DIFFERENT EMOTIONS. But...with our reading, we find that to be the best thing possible. I was appalled at some characters actions, and amazed, and enthralled, and just devoured this book. It was a good one, and so well worth the wait!
Overall this was a very satisfying conclusion to Doe and King's story--it felt complete..and completely nuts. Don't try to go into this looking for a tame, realistic love story because it's not and if you know that going in, you can plunge into the fictional world Frazier has created and just enjoy the wild ride. I think we can agree that this is why we love her novels. They do exactly what a book is meant to do. We escape our life, and live in this wild one, like the wild west or something...where vigilante's definitely have their own life code, and people you don't expect will surprise you (Preppy)...and change your life. I will miss these characters, but never fear...only for a short time...because Bear is next, and I am SO EXCITED! Badass biker man, and I bet he'll be looking for some vengeance in all the wrong places. I can't wait!
Excerpt
King snarled. “You seem to have forgotten who the fuck I am, Pup. So I'm going to remind you.” He pressed his hips against mine. “I'm the man who took you against your will and handcuffed you to my fucking bed. I'm the man who wanted you, so I fucking kept you." He cocked an eyebrow. “Do you really think you have a choice when it comes to being mine?"
King lifted me onto the dresser and pushed himself between my legs, forcing my legs apart. He held my wrists behind my back forcing my shoulders backwards and pushing my chest into his. My dress rode up to the tops of my thighs. King pushed a strand of hair behind my ears and leaned in to me, his lips just a breath away from mine. The room was getting hot. I couldn't breathe. I needed...I don't know what I needed. "No more questions."
I opened my mouth to argue. "Stop fucking talking," he snapped.
King lifted me off the dresser and carried me and set me down in front of the full-length mirror that hung on the closet door. He stood behind me. A head taller than me and outweighing me by a hundred pounds, our differences had never been more obvious. His dark jeans and dark tank top were a stark contrast to my little white eyelet sundress. My pale skin next to his tanned. My white hair to his black. It was a sight that made my knees weak. Because although the reflection in the mirror made our differences obvious, it also made me see how well the two fit together.
