CD Reiss has opened up the Drazen Kindle World and Nikki Sloane has released Destroy, a kindle world novella!
~~OUR REVIEW~~
Court: I am really in awe of this idea. It is hard enough to write, but to write in an already well established world, with characters we've both grown to love and hate and give them their own spin...wow! Just wow. I was very intrigued by Jessica back in the day, and all of the dynamics with her and Jonathan and I really loved this novella. OH HOW I AM WISHING IT WERE LONGER!
Shel: First up was Nikki Sloane and she knocked it out of the park. She gave us an interesting take on Jessica post-incarceration. Jessica was every bit as fierce and snarly as I thought she might be and her nemesis, Alec, was an unexpected and hot surprise (to Jessica and me). With glimpses of what happened to her after Jonathan, how she felt about him and what happened, and where she was headed for the future, this erotic short was a sexy, fun, imaginative, and quick. Court: It was all of the above. You take my thoughts and make them better words, and I can't agree more. I am glad that Shelley decided we should read this, because it was inspired and powerful when this person was coming back from something really, really hard. Antiheroines for the win...with both characters! Whew.
Shel: We can't see who writes the next book in the Drazen universe and where they take us next. Interested? Read the synopsis:
Blurb:
My entire life fell apart once. It took everything I had to pull it back together, and drag the Jessica Carnes name out of the gutter.
And now he threatens to destroy all I’ve worked for—my sculpture, my rebuilt reputation, and my life. All I have is my art, and I’ll do anything to save it from his predatory hands.
Even if it means offering myself instead.
