OUR REVIEW:
EK Blair has never taken it easy on her characters or her readers so I knew I needed to get a solid grip on my sanity before I started this book --and I tried, really I did. But ohmygoodnessgracious that ending. That ending. Gahhhhhhh. This cannot be good. This does not bode well for my sanity as I wait for book 2 and I can't imagine it will bode well when it comes to the characters and their lives in book 2. And damnit to hell and tarnation, EK Blair, I want so badly for things to freaking bode well. Ugh.
You guys. Grab this book if you want a book that tackles something fairly taboo in the realm of teen characters, if you want to read about two characters who are dealing with some family issues and yet can somehow not let those be barriers to finding love in each other, if you want to read about a really good portrayal of guys and girls being actual friends, and if you want to feel some things...especially in the last parts of this novel.
The wait for October is going to feel interminable.
Blurb
Kason and Adaline.
From the moment
they met, they started to fall. Neither of them predicted just how far the drop
would be, though.
Loving Adaline was
all Kason had ever wanted to do. But layer by layer, he started to unravel,
forcing Adaline to face an addiction she never could’ve imagined.
This is what
happens when one person loves beyond the craving and the other craves beyond
the loving.

takes her readers on an emotional roller coaster with her dynamic and intense
writing style. Noted for her ability to create fleshed-out characters that will
evoke a realm of reactions, you can be assured that her stories will linger
with you far beyond the last word.
A former first grade
teacher with an imagination that runs wild. Daydreaming and zoning out is
how she was often found in high school. Blair tends to drift towards everything
dark and moody. Give her a character and she will take pleasure in breaking
them down, digging into their core to find what lies underneath.
Aside from writing,
E.K. Blair finds pleasure in music, drinking her Starbucks in peace, and
spending time with her friends. She’s a thinker, an artist, a wife, a mom, and
everything in between.
